Why Roofs Start Leaking — and What's Usually Behind It

A leaking roof is one of those problems that rarely announces itself at a convenient time. More often it shows up as a damp patch on the ceiling after a spell of heavy rain, or a musty smell in the loft that's been quietly building for weeks.
