Wisbech's older terraced streets and Georgian townhouses put a lot of ageing chimney stacks into daily use — and when those stacks start to lean or crumble, we rebuild them properly from the flashing line up.
Much of Wisbech's housing stock dates from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, with rows of solid-brick terraces across the Somers Road and Queens Road areas, and grander Georgian properties near the Brinks. These older stacks were built with soft lime mortars that weather heavily in the Fens' damp winters, leaving joints open to frost and water penetration. We match brick type and use lime mortar where the existing work demands it, so rebuilds sit sympathetically alongside original masonry.
