East Winch is a small, quiet village just east of King's Lynn with a mix of older cottages and rural properties, some of which carry chimney stacks in a poor state of repair.
Unlike its busier neighbour West Winch, East Winch has retained much of its rural character, with a number of older brick and flint properties clustered around All Saints Church. Stacks on cottages and older farmhouses here frequently show advanced mortar erosion and, in some cases, visible lean — particularly on north-facing elevations that stay damp through winter. The surrounding farmland offers little wind shelter, which adds to the wear on exposed masonry.
We rebuild chimney stacks in East Winch using brick matched to the original as closely as possible, with lime mortar on older buildings where a softer mix is needed to prevent cracking. New lead flashing and a capped pot are included in every job. Call us directly for a free, no-obligation survey.
